We are looking for a Head of Department for our Business Development, Marketing and Recruiting Team  (m-f-d) - fulltime.

Job description / Tasks

As a motivated Leader (m-f-d) you will manage and coordinate all business development and marketing activities and oversee our Team of Recruiters.

1. Business Development

  • Responsible for tender search
  • Pre-selection of business opportunities
  • Coordination of inhouse workflows with technical departments
  • Communication with external actors’, (donors, partner firms, experts)
  • Registration of AHT with clients and funding organisations
  • Preparation of expressions of interest and prequalification documents in coordination with technical departments
  • Management of administrative and legal documents
  • Establishment of tender statistics
  • Maintenance of inhouse project database and the Business Development section of AHTs ERP system
  • Cluster Coordination on new business opportunities

2. Marketing

  • Elaboration of marketing documents, company presentations, brochures, Power Point Presentations
  • Editor of our inhouse yearly Newsletter
  • Homepage Design and maintenance, content editing using TYPO 3
  • Administration and distribution of information and advertising material
  • Mailing campaigns

3. Managing the Team of Recruiters

  • Coordination of activities in the field of personnel acquisition
  • Oversee team of recruiters

What you need to bring in

Postgraduate University Degree (at least Master’s degree) in a relevant field (e.g., Development Studies, Social Studies, Geography, Business Administration, Communication Studies)

Working experience:
Some years of previous working experience in an international environment and in development cooperation

Excellent English language skills written and spoken; Excellent French language skills written and spoken; Very good German skills written and spoken

Profile / Skills:

  • Excellent writing and communication skills
  • Working experience in development cooperation
  • Experience in management and coordination of small teams / departments
  • Leadership and ability to work in international teams
  • Experience in the preparation of Pre-Qualification Documents
  • Good knowledge of TYPO 3 Software
  • Translation skills
