We are seeking national and international Foresters (m/f/d) for various on-going and up-coming projects in Indonesia.

Job description

Depending on the relevant project, there are tasks within the following fields:

  • Implementation and support of forestry projects
  • Sustainable forest management
  • Livelihood improvement of local inhabitants / farmers in rural areas
  • Land use and forest development plans for villages and commuities
  • Effective forest protection by enforcement of obligations AND by creation of sufficiently attractive benefits for involved local residents / farmers
Detailed requirements

Post-graduate University degree in Forestry

Country/Regional experience:
Working experience in Indonesia and in the region


  • Oral and written proficiency in English is considered mandatory
  • Proficiency in Indonesian language is a strong advantage

Expertise / Profile:

  • Proven work experience in at least one of the areas of:
    forestry, forest development, forest management and silviculture, landscape management, biodiversity conservation or agroforestry;
  • Professional experience in Development Cooperation and donor-funded projects natural resource management or livelihoods field;
  • For some of these positions:
    Experience in leading a Team (CTA or equivalent) or other Senior management position within an FC project preferred (e.g. WB; KfW; ADB; etc);
  • Knowledge in Participatory Land Use Planning and Extension and / or Community Development and / or GIS is a plus.


Region and duty station:
Various regions and duty stations; to be specified later

Project / Assignment duration:
Long and short term input; depending on the relevant project

Estimated project start:
To be specified later; depending on the relevant project

Project status:
On-going projects and up-coming projects i.e. proposals and pre-qualification / early information status.
