The Project concerns the conservation and sustainable use of biodiversity in priority protected areas in Ethiopia.
The purpose of the project is to effectively manage priority protected areas in collaboration and partnership with the local communities and other stakeholders.

Education:
Master’s in relevant fields
Country/Regional experience:
Some years of working experience in African countries with similar socio-economic conditions to Ethiopia
Languages:
English
Expertise / Profile:
Various experts (m/f/d) in the following fields:
Planning, design and supervision of infrastructure in protected/rural areas
- Elaboration of planning documents around infrastructure measures in protected areas
- On-site supervision of construction activities tendered out to local contractors
- Support planning and implementation of livelihood restoration measures
Institutional development and support in natural resources management sector
- Support to Protected Area Management in establishing and implementing operational, financial and maintenance concepts
- Support to Protected Area Management in communication, networking, and negotiations
Procurement and financial management
- Support and ensure financial management and accounting including management of a disposition fund
- Managing in procurement processes
Monitoring and evaluation of Financial Cooperation Projects
- Monitoring & Evaluation of project activities
- Support to Protected Area Management in preparing project reports
- Support in quality assurance of investment activities, especially design and work supervision, in tendering of procurement of works and services
ESHS
- Adherence of construction and other measures to ESHS standards and safeguards
- Develop site-specific standards of designs for various infrastructures to be constructed in protected areas
