Short project description: In the framework of the International Climate Protection Initiative of the German Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety, KfW provides financing for the above-mentioned Project to the Land Bank of the Philippines (LBP). LBP will act as the Executing Agency and will lend i.a. to the private sector, to Local Government Units (LGUs) and to National Government Agencies for investments reducing primary energy consumption (e.g. diesel, coal, gas, oil) and direct greenhouse gas emissions. The regional focus will be nationwide, with at least 50% of the overall loan amount to be extended to the Visayas and Mindanao.

Job description:

Technical Assistance for LBP to evaluate energy efficiency investments;

Technical Assistance to potential LBP clients (development of a basic implementation concept for energy audits including a check-list for 1-day walkthroughs);
Technical Assistance to LBP and clients to identify investments that have CDM potential and to outline options for marketing of carbon credits;
Technical Assistance to LBP for design and implementation of a specific marketing strategy for the Credit Line.

Detailed requirements

Education: University degree in one of the following fields:

Civil / Environmental Engineering, Financial Management, Organisational & Institutional Development

Country/Regional experience: Philippines, South-East Asia

Languages: English fluently

Expertise/Profile:

The expert (m/f) shall have general experience in

energy efficiency and renewable energy (including climate protection measures for chillers and Clean Development Mechanism)

and specific experience in

energy audits and marketing of efficiency and renewable energy credit lines;

as well as experience in capacity building and training in financial institutions.
